MLK DAY OF SERVICE 2017
Thank you again to all who participated in the 2017 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. This event was not only a day of service, but a celebration of our mutual commitment to give back to those in need and those whose mission is to serve others. The Native Youth Wellness Corps, a project of Southwest Youth Services would like to also thank and acknowledge collaborating organizations that helped to make this year’s day of service so successful: the Native American Community Academy, the Petroglyph National Monument, LaPlazita Institute, Road Runner Food Bank, City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation, Blue Cross Blue Shield, the Native Health Initiative, Native American Concepts, the Harvard Zuckerman Fellows Program, DJ Breakaway, Monroe’s New Mexican Food, Cocina Azul, Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School, community volunteers and our AmeriCorps VISTA members. A day of service is great way to start 2017!
